just how far would you go to get the bike you want?

I ask because with all my indecisiveness i've come across a place selling my dream hardtail. Only problem is that it's located in the Montreal area of Canada. That in itself isn't such a big problem because my brother has emmigrated so could buy it and send it over (godknows how much it'd cost mind)

Is this a bit ridiculous ? or would you do similar for a model you couldn't find sizing in the UK anymore?

Why do you want that bike specifically? There are plenty of other bikes with similar spec at about £1000 with fox forks

I spose my thing for the bike is it has the 'look' I like (in the 2008 model) when you see something and just immediately think you want it. Add to that stuff like fox, LX mostly throughout, some good brakes etc and it's as close to the klein attitude xv i wanted a few years back but ended up spending the money on the plumber (who i haven't forgiven)

Not keen on the 2009 model, doesn't have the aesthetic look for me. ebay link is postage to US/Canada anyway which would need the same as the shop would. The focus & saracen don't have the look on them for me either, if I don't go for something like this which would cost a tad more than I wanna spend, then I'm looking at the cannondale F4Z, a 2009 Marin one (orange frame with bomber forks), a merlin custom build, the vertex 50 which looks reasonable on offer, The specialized one at about 850 quid or an Orange. As you can tell i'm not sure
