Although a reasonably expereinced cylist I am embarassed to say I have only been out once at night. My lighting was totally inadequate, say no more.

What is the miniumum candlepower/Watts/££ I need to do some easy training at night on unlit roads. I am doing Etape next year and am committed this winter to doing some work in the evenings to break up the monotony of the turbo and build an aerobic base. I have seen lighting rigs from £10 to £700 so there is a considerable range of products out there and I am a bit confused.

The L2D and the newer LD20 have been highly rated here in the last 12 months or so.

Yeah - Fenix are good - decent run time but get one of these for your bars too : http://www.mtbbritain.co.uk/mountain_bi ... w_led.html

Run time is 70 - 80 mins on this so you will need to swap batteries at some point - but its worth it.

I also have a P7 it really is excellent, i also have two fenix lights, but if i had to choose i would opt for the P7.( SEEN AND BE SEEN)YOU WILL WITH THIS LIGHT. Ademort

Praise for Photonshop. ordered my light at 15:30 Monday and it arrived 08:00 Tuesday morning. Great service still impresses me. Thank you Photonshop. Its a pretty nice piece of kit as well (L2D).
