Hi. Are there panniers to fit on a Marin Rock Springs MTB, or does the rear suspension prevent them being fitted?

The only pannier rack you'll be able to fit on that bike will be one that mounts on the seatpost. Many different models available but I've onlty ever seen one type with side extensions that drop down to stop the bags swinging into the wheel. If you want a MTB with pannier mounts etc then you need a hardtail and a disc mount inside the rear triangle like BOOG below
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Thanks for that. There are several post mounted racks. I have found two with side panels to stop panniers hitting the wheels

    and

Both look good and have a maximum load of 10kgs. Will be trying one of these.

I would take you bike to your LBS are try one, you mind find that the bottom of the pannier hits the swingarm of the frame when the suspension is compressed (depending on where its mounted on the seatpost), remember to adjust your rear shock pressure to accommodate for the extra weight of the panniers when loaded up.
