Stuck Ksyrium rear axle
Hi All,
I'm trying to remove the axle on my Mavic Ksyrium Elite rear wheel to replace a worn freehub. They're the 2002 model which requires a 5mm allen key in each end of the axle to unscrew the axle. Try as I might I can't get the axle to come apart and if I try any harder I fear I might round-off the allen key sockets.
I've followed the instructions in the relevant manual at www.mavic-tech.com but I just want to check that I'm not missing something obvious. I'm assuming you unscrew the axle anti-clockwise??!
Has anyone any tips? Reckon the only thing I have left to try is to squirt prodigious amounts of GT85 along the seam line of the two axle parts.

Thanks. It looks like I'm going about it the right way.. Just think it'll take some GT85 to unseize the axle thread!0
