Campag ergo lever rattle. More help please.

Campag ergo lever rattle. The levers are used but in very good condition but the right lever rattles. I think the problem is the gear change lever behind the brake lever is too far out and is missing the rubber bung that I suppose it there to stop it from rattling against the brake lever.
is there a way to adjust the position of the gear lever inwards?
Sorry this is so garbled but I find it hard to explain what i mean.

This was a known problem, particularly on the earlier models - some people resort to rubber bands! As suggested, get a small piece of rubber and superglue it into position should solve your problem.
