Where can I find the frame geometry for the Lemond Etape? The website no longer seems to exist. What are the characteristics of the geometry?
If I ride a 56 which Lemond Etape would be ideal a 55 or 57?

If it helps i have a Lemond Victoire and Fillmore, i am 6ft.

I ride a 55 on both, Fillmore is standard geometry (55 c-t-c) and Victoire is semi compact.

Hard to make any suggestion without knowing your height.

    Cheers

What actual size top tube is your 55cm Victoire?

    I just acquired a s/h Victoire frame, it's 53.5cm actual tob tube c to c.

    Cheers

    My 55cm Lemond Versailles has a 56.5 top-tube effective c-c. The 57 size is 57.5.

Send trek an email. I'm sure there'll send you the geometries.

I recently sold a 55 Victoire and i normally ride a 56cm bike. The 55cm was fine for me. Nice bike as well, v.comfortable.

I just called a bike shop that sells them and the Etape 57 has an effective TT length of 56.8 with a 150 mm head tube and the 55 has 54.6 but only has a 135 head tube. So I think I need a 57. I am 5' 10" but I don't want too much drop due to neck problems caused by the same.

A 55 for someone 6 ft sounds quite extreme. Apparently Trek no longer import them and there are no geometry diagrams in this country.

My brother is 5 ft 10" and he rides a 53cm Tete De Course...

I would check try it out first, if you are unsure.

To add to the confusion, I am 5'8" and ride a 55cm 2006 Buenos Aires, the last of the steel/carbon models.

I have a relatively long torso (only 32" inseam). The Lemond is very comfortable for sportives. Similar sized Bianchi was too cramped. Generally Lemonds seem to be slightly stretched out compared to same sized bikes from other brands.

Try Googling "Lemond geometry" and see what comes up. There may be an article somewher that gives that info.

Man in cycle shop speak with fork tongue unless the 08s are different.

I found the geometries at WayBackMachine and they are very large for their size. A 55 has a TT of 565 which is longer than my large Izoard and the 57 has a TT of 575 with a head tube of 191! No wonder a 6' rider can ride a 55.
