Trek 6300WSD vs Myka Expert

Hello my g'friend is considering the above bikes and we were wondering if anybody had any thoughts about which one she should go for.
Size wise the specialised fits okay but I'm keen she tries out others to ensure she gets the best possible bike. The trek looks a good spec but nowhere seems to have one in stock (in and around Hampshire). Looking at the geometry, they are comparable. Too risky to by a bike un-ridden???
Weight is a big consideration, does anybody know the weights of the bikes? Cannot seem to find anything on the web.
Bike will be bought through cycle-to-work so the last year bargains aren't being considered.
