Juciy Three - adjusting brake 'play'?

Hi all
I've tonight accomplished my first ever brake bleed!! Well chuffed...
I've upgraded the front rotor to a 185mm (it's a hope one) and I've used an avid adaptor to give it the clearance.
There's 2 things annoying me that I'm unsure how to solve:
1> The front brake squeals like mad! I took the pads out when doing the bleed so pretty sure it's not that - any way to solve it or is it contaminated pads?
2> This is the real problem.....The left lever has the lever almost at the bar before the rear wheel is fully locked - just how I like it. However, the front moves about half way, then is on full lock. How do I adjust the brake so that the front doesn't bite till almost at the bar?
...have I explained that properly?.....or is that confusing?
......as a 3rd question.....is it possible to use a 180 disc when you've got a 185 adaptor?

squeel - calpier needs aligning. Losen the caliper securing bolts, get someone to hold the brake on nice and hard, do bolts back up. easy
levers - my juicys dont feel even either0 -
adjust the lever reach screw. (or there is still air in there)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
