More wheel woes.........

Ok, i've got the new wheels, bought a freewheel cassette thing from lbs but had to gop from 12-25 on old wheel to 14-28 on new as that's all they had and i'm impatient anyhoo when comin to fit the tyres i noticed a small rip on the wall of the tyre, just visible next to rim when tyre installed, should i worry? Tyres only cpl of months old, they're conti gp4000, will it be ok just to carry on using them?

Went ahead and fitted my tyrwes anyway, problem now is, i have a topeak joeblow and i've blown up 2 innertubes despite the guage reading 100 psi, what pressure do others run there tyres at, kind regards :?

Around 100-110. It sounds like you've either punched the tube as you've out it on, got a spoke sticking through the rim tape or (most likely) the small tear in the tyre wall is causing the tube to pop.

Damit, new tyre it is then, many thanks, hopefuly i'll get there eventualy :roll:

Easy way to check - is the tube hole at the same point as the rip in the tyre?

Manager just caught me changing tyre on shop floor :oops:
