Fishing for sympathy

I've got some kind of eardrum / inner ear problem, which means that sitting still reading in a quiet room feels almost normal, but moving around makes me feel really sick and dizzy.
The doc didn't seem too concerned, but I feel sh*t and am feeling sorry for myself, hence the post.

ieu :(

I would insist that the Doc takes a closer look. My wife has just spent a year off work after a serious viral infection damaged her vestibular nerve and has affected her balance permanantly. Her symptems were very similar to yours, the doctor only realised something was wrong when he saw Shingle type blisters on her eardrum. Only then did we get a diagnosis and only after we had gone private as the docter said there was a 6 week waiting list to see the consultant. Hope it isn't what my missus has got as you will have 1-2 years of rehab exercises and cycling won't be part of them :(
Get yourself back down the doc's sharpish.
    Hope you feel better.

Chr*st, Ieuanllan, that'll teach you to fish for sympathy, this place has a worse effect than reading a medical dictionary.

Real sympathy reseved for markos's missus and it could pay to take his advice.

Yes, very sorry, I didn't mean to alarm anyone. Its just that we were fobbed off with 'its only an ear infection' and 'take some antibiotics'. To be fair to the GP though he had never come across this sort of problem and it may be the same with leuanlian's doc. Best he mentions it to the doctor in case it helps in the long run. Its no fun watching a loved one falling over every time they stand up and need three lanes to weave across when walking down the street

That's made me feel a heap better!
Seriously though, I hope your missus is making a full recovery, and I'll start bothering BUPA pronto if it doesn't go away in the next few days or so.

I've got some serious cabin fever though.
