Haveing a really parranoid moment and want to take as much precaution as possible - any other ideas welcome
was also thinking of getting one of these as well, it bolts in front the the gurage door and seems like it might hold em out for a little longer?

I'd say too expensive tbh! I've got one of these:

and it does the job, with an oxford bike chain.0 -
cheers mate - moneys not really the consideration.. Its a more a case of I dont want to pay the £300 a year insurence for my bike so Id rather invest it in the best anti theaft gear I can realisticly get.
I just hate paying for insurence and would rather spend it on something tangable if you know what I mean. But if there no good - I would just probably take the insurence hitThere is nothing more unequal, than the equal treatment of unequals!0 -

I reckon I'll have to put it on the wall inside my shed as the concrete floor isn't solid enough. It's all cracked and uneven so I doubt it's more than a couple of inches thick. The bricks in the wall aren't particularly even either so I need to find the best spot.Welcome, to my bonesaw!0 -
Probably the key thing with a ground anchor is what it's fixed to. Soft bricks or poor concrete will probably be weaker than the anchor it's self.
The door defender's not a bad idea but it can still attacked because it's outside. I'm lucky and have a second door to the garage so I've put some dead bolts at the bottom on either side of the main door which can only be openned from the inside. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -

Yeah, I'm quite worried. My landlady needs a slap, as she wouldn't let me reinforce the shed door or frame, or put a padlock hasp on it. The door had a 3 lever mortice lock in it but no key so I put in a 5 lever anyway. Still, the door opens outwards and it isn't the tightest fit in the world. Might have to get 2 anchors and use both at once, one in the wall, the other in the floor.... Or simply wire the damn bike to the mains.Welcome, to my bonesaw!0
