Ok so at the moment I have a 100ml R.S recon on my rockhopper.

I'm wanting to put a longer travel fork on it, as with the riding im doing is becoming more aggressive, and as my riding progresses, so does my speed with my my shock struggling to soak it all up. I have the shock set pretty much as i like it ( I am a fettler at heart) and know that for its size it gives a great performance.

to cut a long story short, my bike is pretty much geard up for hard riding, and i want to know if putting a 140 pike (u -turn) would completely screw my bike up? I can turn down for climbs no worries, but is having 140 gunna mess up stand over height ( which is pretty low on a rockhopper anyways) or just make the bike not that rideable due to geometry and different stresses, wasting my hard earned spondoolies in the process of completely bolloxing up my ride???
