Cleats

I'm replacing the cleats for my CB pedals as mine have given up after a fair bit of use and they're starting to unclip under pressure, which is worrying to say the least.
I've noticed that they've worn unevenly, and i figure that this is probably due to them not being quite set up right. I don't get any pain from them but might it be an idea to put the new ones on in such a way as to try and counteract the uneven wear a bit?

they may have uneven wear due to you clipping toe in then heel as such so one will always have to push open the clamp and thus wearing a bit more than the front??
a mate of mine clamped in heel first then toe and when i had a spin on his bike i couldnt get clipped in and vice versa! (both cb pedals)Timmo.

That i'd accept as reasonable wear, but on mine i get very much more wear on the outboard side of the cleat as opposed to the crank side, so as above?0

It's a shame they don't do cleats which are the same both ways round so you could just put them on opposite shoes. I guess you could do that anyway since all it will do is change the release angle IIRC.
One note on CB pedals... if you wear normal shoes on them a lot, eventually the spring will break and CB won't warranty it!Rule 64:
Cornering confidence generally increases with time and experience. This pattern continues until it falls sharply and suddenly.

the cb's cleats are the same shape on both sides unlike the shimano ones, so you cold turn them around but like you said, release angle would be different!Timmo.
