A large McD's Coke at 70 mph hurts, a lot !

Cycling home from work tonight some git in a car threw what I think was a large soft drink in a cup at me. The cycle path runs along by a dual carriageway and i was hit in the back before I even saw the car. It was shifting so I didn't get the number plate in the poor lighting.

I saw it go straight on at the next roundabout so I took a detour to the petrol station just past it but the car wasn't there. Heading home I went through the local park and passed three cars full of teenagers parked up in the usual spot. One of the cars could have been the one I was looking for but I couldn't be sure.

Besides, I would have had a go at the 3 or 4 people I was looking for in a busy petrol station forecourt but 3 times as many people in a dark, secluded park would have been suicide.

Even if I had been sure of the car and got the police involved it's only my word against theirs and I don't want me, my family or my house to be targeted by them for more hassle.

Guess I'm still pi$$ed off but won't mind so much in the morning. I should be glad that they never threw anything more solid at me. If it had hit me in the head I'd have been off the bike for sure.

Rant over. I feel better for typing it all out anyway

You did the right thing, but I bet it still burns you up letting them go. Lets hope Karma gets them & they crash the car on some ice in the next few weeks.

Re the police, I would still let them know just in case they are known (I have done similar after following someone home drove on the wrong side of the road exceptionally close to the wife & number 1 child).

I'd imagine its pretty similar to my encounter wing mirror then hitting the middle of the road head first. Damn there are some little buggers around.

I was walking home from the pub last night and some **** drove past and chucked an egg at me. Hit my leg but luckily bounced off without smashing. If they'd had the decency not to speed off then I'd have pulled their fingernails out.

You've got to be clever with stuff like this, thats if you are planning a revenge attack!

A while ago some dickhead kids drove past me and the passenger shouted at me through the open window. They then pulled up at the red traffic lights about 50 meters up the road, which I thought wasn't clever on their part, 'cos had I have been a meathead I'd have just pulled up to them and smashed their heads in.

Instead I pulled to the other side of the road, took out my mobile and proceeded to video them pulling away from the lights, god knows what they thought of that, but they looked concerned.

I'm not the type to go around smashing heads in anyway - and people will always do s-h-i-t-t-y stuff like this, its just how it is.

i was standing outside a friends house with another friend and a car came past with some unts in and they threw 2 eggs at us, one got my friend square on the ass cus he wasn't looking but i somehow managed to catch one and needless to say they weren't happy when their rear windscreen got egged. (i was so stoked at this)
then the dumb S*** put his wiper on, complete smearage.

he then stopped and i ran!

but yeh everytime i go cycleing on thursdays we usually encounter some nobs either in cars or walking, one knocked me off once cus he stepped into the road for no reason whatsoever straight into me, then started having a go at me!!
