what of the Trek T1??? ive searched a few reviews on this, and they are mixed, but reckon that the frame is pretty sh1t hot???

I've seen one and it looks very nice in the flesh, but it's very boring...
Look for something for exciting like the fuji League when it becomes available:

It’s another pretty good track bike and I see them in use at both indoor and outdoor tracks at all levels.
Unless you are a huge and powerful track sprinter, any of the currently available track bikes in that budget range will cut it for most events. You’d be amazed and surprised how successful some track league riders are on the most unlikely bikes.
To be honest, none of the specialist/dedicated track bikes are bad and if you buy a fully built-up bike, it’s a question of when or whether you need to replace some of the components as you improve or start looking for an edge from higher quality kit.I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.0
