GPS query

Hello,
Just been given a Garmin Edge 305. I've read the manual so kind of know what to do with it but does anyone here have one who can share some tips?
Also are there any guides available (online or other) that can help me get the most out of it?
Cheers

The trail is long and my legs are burning but I can't stop smiling.

First thing to do:
GET OUT AND RIDE
Record what youve done and where youve been and upload it to motionbased.com so you can watch the ride on googlemaps/Earth and see speeds and elevation etc. Dont bother with Training Centre software, its a pile of fisher price crud.
Once you are familiar with how it works and its functions, then move onto creating trails/routes offline then uploading your data so you can follow it.
I like using Mapmyride.com and MemoryMap to create courses. Once uploaded you get a little coursemap onscreen and even race a virtual partner.
You can also download any available courses found on the internet to the GPS, thousands on Motionbased.
One sage piece of advice for any owner, is dont forget to press START before you go on an epic ride you wish to log, if you forget once, you'll never forget again!

There is no Garmin Edge 405.....there's a 205, 305, 605 and 705.
Just shows what sound advice some people have! - Unless he meant get a Peugeot

I'd not heard of SportTracks until you mentioned is Schlep' - nice one, works quite well on my PC and a billion times better than that pants offering called Training Center.
Something to keep the date offline, as ALL of mine is currently online on Motionbased.

Just shows how humour withers on the cybernet
Ascent is really nice on the Mac for recording and reviewing your rides.
