I need to replace the RP3 in my Rocky Mountain Slayer, and would love to get a DHX 5 in there, however due to restrictive frame design I can't fit anything with a piggy back. Anyone know of a company that can mod a DHX 5 and make the piggy back remote? (like in th e2nd picture on page linked below)

Just out of interest, why do you want a DHX?

  • Maybe try an older Van shock? they have only just got the piggyback.

I'm using the RP3 on a spare frame I have to build up a light weight XC bike, and using the opportunity (abnd christmas) to get a lovelly spring shock on my Slayer.

Because I was offered a cheap one from a friend.

I suppose the second question I shoul dask is are there any decent shocks out there with remote piggy backs? (although the cheap option of getting the DHX modded is obviously preferrable)
  • 5th element used to make them.

Mojo do (or did) do a remote reservoir coil DHX5. Give them a ring and see if they can help you.

You could always go with an RP23
