Thought i would start this on only one condition. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO MENTION OF THE "D" word here.

I have a real passion for cycling, not just racing but also everyday cycling, ride the bike nearly every single day and constantly check up on the sport i love, but every internet forum is all the same. The so called lovers of the sport all seem to want to talk about is the abusers of our sport. Yes im sick of it also but i still love to watch the racing on tv or down at my local club/open race, the sport still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand out!!!!

As i watched the world's un-fold this year i was on the edge of my seat shouting at the tv, the same goes for the 1.2.3 of mapei in the paris roubaix or maybe even the breath taking hair raising decent of a certain Mr Kelly down the poggio to win the milan san remo!!!

Come this saturday i will be glued to eurosport to watch my favourite classic tour of lombardy and see who walks away with victory. I will not be thinking who is clean or is not clean, to me i will still watch it regardless as i have always done, ok some people say im watching through rose tinted glasses (maybe i am) but how many other sports are clean but probably like you i still watch them but i dont have the same passion or the love for my sport!!!!

So share your views here on bike racing or just general cycling and no mention. PLEASE

    The "D" word?

    Danielson?

David Duffield? (- two "D"s - must be extra bad)

Dura ace Digital Derailleurs (going to hell for that one)

I could talk about the road race I did, but no one will want to discuss it, because they didn't do it and don't know the riders.

Sadly you can't avoid doping right now, for as the Germans are realising, many race results are totally falsified thanks to cheating. No one loves talking about it but it's the number one issue facing pro cycling and I think it needs discussion. Trying to put your fingers in your eyes and sing "la di da" loudly isn't going to change anything.

I have a passion too... but these days I feel like i've been cheated... Ive been to a lot of races and have photographed from the inside so I get to see these guys up close, and to speak to many.. My views is that these guys are living in a total bubble...

Anyway all that aside... my passion sometimes gets the better of me. This Sunday I will do the Giro di Lombardia Granfondo. I road the course 3 weeks ago and damn that Madonna del Ghisallo is a killer... Hope to do a good time...

Will go down in the morning to see the pro race and will either take pics at the top of San Fermo or on the twisty decent into the finish :P :P :D
