Cannondale CAAD9 105 or Kiron Scandium
Narrowing choice of bikes down and have come to these two - Cannondale CAAD9 105 or the wiggle Kiron Scandium.
The scandium got a pretty good review in C+ (where they also mentioned the CAAD9) but wondered if there are any CAAD9 owners out there and what they think of them.
Looking for speed with long distance comfort - so the Scandium appeals, but have heard such great things about the CAAD9 that I wondered if it was true!!
Also, as an aside, I think Wiggle offer a 2yr warranty on the Kiron frame, but Cannondal give a lifetime on the CAAD9. Is it worth taking this in to consideration or should I just tweak the house contents policy?
cheers.

Don't know anything about the Kiron but I have a Caad8 and the difference between that and the 9 seems fairly small. The Dale is a very nice machine to ride, comfortable and handles well whether grinding uphill, flying down the other side at 40+mph or tapping along on the flat. Most of my riding is 15-17mph for 80 to 100 miles and the Dale is more than comfortable enough for that.
I was attracted by the lifetime guarantee but after 2.5 years and 6000miles all seems well.
Mine is dressed up in Campag but the 105 will be fine.

I have a CAAD 9 / 105 cyclocross bike I'm using for commuting.

Obviously not quite the same as the CAAD9 road bike (I also have a Six13 road bike).
I love Cannondales and would recommend them highly. Very light and stiff but not a harsh ride at all. Very nicely made and finished off. Personally I'd much rather have Cannondale than Giant/Specialized/Trek but it's all just a matter of personal preferences.

+1 for Cannondale, I'm with bc on the six13. Light, stiff, not harsh, good going up, fast coming down ..... and when you step on the pedals, whoooosh!0

I can't comment on the Cannondale, but I got a Kiron Scandium a few days ago and the Cycling Plus test was spot on. Feels and handles like a very light steel frame, very responsive and stiff but with enough vertical compliance fo comfort. Climbs superbly and I didn't get any aches even after a couple of long rides. The bars are a little narrow for me but I can live with that. All other kit is superb. Unbelievable value ( I don't work for Wiggle!).0
