I am just removing my BB which is a Truvativ and I am now stuck with the crank arms off and attempting to undo the BB with the nessesary tool.
Firstly they seem to be very stuck so do I need to gently tap with a rubber mallet to move or is there a reason. Secondly to check which way they should be turning.
When putting them back on do I do them just as tight as possible?
Thanks

I use Shimano Hollowtech 2 exclusively cos the cups have arrows on for 'tighten'. Shame they didn't do that years ago before I put my old Zaskar in a vice to take the BB out0
