Hi all, am nearly finished on my Ribble Winter sloping frame build. Have come to install the last few bits and the rear brake does not reach! I moved the pads down as far as they can go. Should I have ordered brakes with a greater drop?

I've got normal Centaur brakes on my bike and they are fine, no long reach here.

  • Thanks for that. I did think that would be the case. I must be doing something wrong. Maybe the rear wheel is not fully home or something.. will check it out!

Frame includes mudguard eyes. Designed to accept 57mm brakes

My normal drop brakes didn't fit on my sloping ribble winter frame so I got some 57mm ones and now all is fine :)

I guess they've improved the design of the frame then? The clearances on my frame are very tight - I struggle to get guards and 25mm tyres mounted
