hi

quick one - do chorus 2008 brakes have a "quick release" cam (or any similar mechanism) as found on ultegra calipers? If not, does it mean you have to mess around with the cable/nut to loosen the brake enough to take the wheel off? (cant be the case can it?)

cheers

jon

There's alittle pin on the lever you push across to release the blocks slightly

Yeh, plenty of room to get a wide tyred wheel out.

No problem. You'd be amazed how many people have used campag for a while and never spotted them

The advantage of the Campag system is the brakes still work as normal if you forget to reset the quick release.

and the disadvantage is that its on or off the cammed system on the caliper allows use to compensate for the wheel going out of true on a ride

....even a hefty 700c x 30 'cross tyre. Been there, done that (and not always because of punctures!).
