Need to buy some lube for my chain. Been using dry wax for summer but find it not good for the wet winters.
Looking for something suitable for awful wet conditions, that doesn't get the chain all manky with black gunge.
Purple extreme any good? Others?

Progold Prolink is the very best I have used. It is a wet lube but it keeps the chain clean. I have used it all year for the past 2 years including on wet winter 28 mile commutes, and it would last about a week between relubes, yet the chain stays really clean - no black gunk. I have tried all of the usual suspects and some more unusual ones, and this is clearly superior to anything else I have come across.

Finish Line Cross Country is all I ever use in the winter time. Recommended by others too. Its is a wet lube but doesn't attract the crap from the roads.

The Progold one, as recommended by alfablue, I have heard good things about too.

I used Pedro's syn wax. Has been recommended by a fellow cyclist at work

I use Finish Line Cross Country - always seems to do a reasonable job.
