Damaged carbon steerer

No doubt caused by some overzealous torquing of stem bolts, I have "notched" the carbon steerer on my TT bike. There is a very small crack (not deep), starting at the top end of the steerer - is this salvageable or am I looking at a new pair of forks?

new forks, the steerer is a fairly vital piece of equipment.

new forks, carbon can fail without warning, you could end up killing yourself or suffering serious injury, it is just not worth it, you can replace the forks but you cannot replace yourself, your wellbeing is more important than anything else, do not compromise your safety ever!

As above, new forks for sure. If the crack is very local, you can cut the steerer and use them on a TT bike maybe that has a short headtube.
