Does anyone have one of these - especially in the newer activ link set set up (external bearings)? Are they easy to fit, are they stiff, do the chainrings last....any insight would be appreciated....

They're not external bearings but a pair of insane double row thin wall units.

They trouble with the Oxale and Z Light activ Link is that with a spacer Stronglight are locking the crank arm through the inner race of the bearing.

I have a set and haven't been able to make them work as they lock tight before locking up on the spline. They really are poorly designed and the manufacturing quality in critical areas is lacking.

Support from Stronglight is non existent. Save the hassle and buy a set of Truvativ Omnium's.

I've been running the black 1/8 chainrings for several years and they stand up well.
