I am in need of a new front light for my commute as the mornings are getting gradually darker.
Just been browsing the net and the Cateye EL 530 looks like a good unit , i need something that's nice and bright, preferably waterproof and with a bracket that will allow me to fit the light onto oversize bars.
Anyone got any comments, good or bad, about the EL530?

I have a Cateye Singleshot for sale in the Classifieds section for £30 if that's of any interest to you ?

Ticks all of your boxes in that it is bright, waterproof, fits on oversize bars and has the advantage of being rechargeable.

    Hi
I have an EL530. It has a bright, though narrow beam. I have used it on my bike on unlit country roads recently and the beam being narrow does not quite light enough of the road and surrounding area for me. It is good value for money but i had to buy a single shot plus to use alongside it and the combination works well. Riding along roads with street lights on, using the EL530 on its own is fine though.
    Hope this helps!
