What's the general consensus? Ball of foot or toes in front of or behind the spindle? Is any position better than the other?
I finally seem to be comfortable with saddle and bar reach so hopefully a few sessions moving cleats and my setup should be 100%

I was reading a custom shoe site recently that said they position them at 95% of the ball of foot to heel length and they've found that that works most of the time - and I would agree with that.

So just behind the ball of the foot seems best to me.

In front of the ball (so you're pushing with your toes) is definitely wrong.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Yep. I was told today by the fitting guy in the LBS that inline with the little toe joint rather than than the ball is the new way of thinking. I've yet to try.
