Can get a good deal on the following wheels, any ideas which is best?.
Needed as a backup/ commute pair
Shimano RS 20
Mavic Aksium
Fulcrum 7's
I weigh around 82Kg so I'm thinking the fulcrums probably aren't a good idea. Tending towards the Shimanos as I can get them for < £100

If you go for the Fulcrum don't forget the earplugs too....I've just swapped mine to the Aksiums.
Which are the better - IMO.....0 -

Yes, I have the Racing & they are noisy. The noise is a different tone to the racing 3s for some reason. I find them very good though. All pretty much the same though really.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

The freehub in my Racing 7's on the other hand sounds like a football rattle you might get free with a McDonald's Happy Meal. They've remained true though. Still think with the benefit of hindsight I'd of opted for another set of Aksiums.0 -
Whereas the new Racing 5s have a hub that makes an almost imperceptible purring noise! I like it but it does mean the cyclist in front will have no idea you're there...0

The RS20's don't have many spokes... I'd go with the mavics or the fulcrums.0

I just don't understand why you're all freewheeling...0
