Knee warmers seem pricey...

... are there any that are genuinely worth the money or should I just spend the extra on full 3/4 bibs?

Alternatively who does cheap ones? The PBK ones seem ok, if a little logo-heavy!

The best pair I've got are an old pair of Exte-Ondo ones but they are hard to find. Don't spend too much on them, they are just a tube of lyrca after all. For £15 you can get a pair of Santini ones from Prendas that'll do the job.

They are definitely worth on cold autumn and spring mornings where it's chilly to start with then warms up later.

Warm enough, split panels, good length - for the price, they're a reasonable buy.
  • Hi

Get some Lusso knee warmers from Spa Cycles. There are three types: coolmax, roubaix, and max repel.

Cost from £13 to about £15, depending on type.

They are very good quality, and are sized realistically (i.e. not small European sizing!).

  • if you can afford it then a pair of 3/4s and a pair of knee warmers will sort you out nicely for autumn and most of winter.
if only one - then get the knee warmers.

Knee warmers are better than 3/4s cos you can just take them off if it starts to warm up halfway through a ride.
  • Hi there.

Knee warmers are worth their weight in gold. Don't buy cheap ones 'cos they don't stay up after a few washes, which is kinda annoying.

    Cheers, Andy

De feet ones are good as they are also quite long so can either sit just below the knee or be pulled down a bit to halfway down your calf. Best arm/knee warmers I've owned!

With it getting colder, perhaps consider full length leg warmers? Wiggle are selling Decente ones for £20 (down from £40). I have a pair and can recommend them.

I have a pair of Castellis which are about 5 years old and still going strong. Keep you nice and warm. As andyp says, don't need to spend too much on them.
