Ive gone and broke one of these buckles so anyone know of sidi fitters, these buckles look like they need to be stiched back into place.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

  • Are you sure they are stitched in place? Replacement buckles are readilly available from Probikekit and a whole bunch of other places so I think they would be user replaceable.

EDIT: Go to the Sidi downloads page here and download the tech.information.pdf, there are instructions on page 12 on how to replace them.

Afraid so, it's not the part that rotates that it broken but what it sits inside, on that link you posted not the red buckle but the black/silver, that bit hanging at the bottom is what's stiched into it.

Thanks for the pdf, ive already grabbed it beforehand but it wasn't much help, only shows how to replace the rotating piece, i don't think sidi intended for the bucke to break where it's mounted but with me it did as i am heavy on shoes anyway.

I think a call to the uk distributors is in order, big bear i think, i'll see what they can suggest as well, or maybe i can just order another pair from sidicafe and get a local shoe shop stitch them back in, they're only a few months old so maybe i can get them repaired under warranty? ive heard good reports about this.

    Thanks for the help btw.

  • Bummer. If they are only a couple of months old I'd certainly try the warranty repair route.

Either way, hope you get it sorted.

Yeah it's a shame, i bought them on the rep they have, wish i stuck with velcro straps but lesser models don't have the features like replaceable soles for example, still great shoes though.
