Frame: Merlin Malt 1 or Specialized Rockhopper Disc (09)

Hi - I'm looking at both bikes (and have ridden earlier models of both) but which frame do you lot think provides the best base to upgrade from in the future? Cheers.

    I would say the RH over the Malt, but that's only what I would pick!

    Hi,

    I was looking at precisely these two bikes (well a rockhopper 08 ) and I went for the Rockhopper - I seriously havn't heard a bad word about it from anyone and I understand it has a very upgradable frame.

    The Malt 1 looks to have a lot of nice kit on it, but frames not supposed to be as good.

    My RH with V-brakes cost £425 quid so nice and cheap with a great frame for upgrading!
