Hi Everyone,

The 2008 version of the Campagnolo Zonda wheels have a 24mm profile for the front wheel and a 28mm profile for the rear wheel (see link below).

Does this mean that we should be running a 28mm tyre on the rear wheel and a 23mm or 25mm on the front wheel ?

I'd be interested to hear opinions from anyone that has these wheels.

As I understand it the 23 or 28mm refers to the depth of the rim. The front is slightly lower profile to make it more controllable in a big crosswind.

    Hi Al_38,

Oh I see, so if the profile of the rear rim is deeper than the front, does that mean that the rear spokes are shorter ?

rear spokes are never the same lenght as the front ones, and becuase of the dish in a rear wheel they differ left to right side in lenght. With modern wheels having exotic spoking patterns you may find that front wheels will also use two different sized spokes.

So yes the spokes will be shorter.
