disc rubbing

being fairly new to disc brakes I'm wondering if this is the norm or not..... when riding there is a sound of my discs rubbing slightly on the pads - only minorly, enough to make an annoying noise. If I free spin the wheel there is very little resistance showing it's not much of a rub, just bloody annoying noise. Makes the bike sound cheap when I ride along!

Any ideas? The avid Juicy 5 brakes are pretty new (as is my bike - 20 miles ridden) and free from mud and crap..... :?:

It is normal and as the pads bed in it can reduce.
