New Wheels....what else needs replacing?

Hi Fellas

I have some Mavic Aksiums on the way for my Spesh Allez triple, what else would it be advisable to replace at the same time, cassette for example and does that mean I need to have a new chain too?

    unless the cassette and chain are worn out then you shouldn't need to replace them when the new wheel goes on. how much mileage has it done and how much do you look after the chain / sprockets? is the set up showing any signs of wearing out (skipping etc)?

    if you are going to change the cassette then i understand that it is advisable to do the chain at the same time.

    I clean the cassette and chain fairly reguarly, only done about 1k miles, no chain skipping or any other problems so I am hoping a straight swap will be fine?!
