Last Minute Penrith Question

Just planning the 280 miles journey to Penrith for this weekends MTB Marathon. If anyone has been before is the parking and the camping in the same place? Do I camp next to my car or will I have to park in one field and camp in another. Was thinking of sleeping in the back of my estate car but if its seperate I'll bring my tent. Also anyone a bit more local than me got any updates on the state of the route with the recent rain?

Good question, I'm also camping there, I hope you can pitch your tent next to your car.

I can trump you on travelling distance, its a stupid 343 miles for me!

Ah well, going to set off for Penrith bright and early tomorrow, will then find out where you can park and pitch your tent. Any other forumites going?
