Hello and welcome,
A bike for cross country trails, or just canal paths? Or road even? Or all?!
Depends what you want really, are many options for your budget and riding.0 -
Yeah sorry was a bit vague with what id be using it for. I would be mainly riding off road in woods and such im guessing thats cross country trails?
I have been looking and spotted these:

Although i dont really know what im looking for, are these any good?0 -
Rockhopper is a good buy, as is the Kona Fore Mountain on the Evans site.
You can't go wrong with the Spesh though.
Get down to you local bike shop and try a few for size too, make sure you get one that is comfortable and fits right.http://stcolin.pinkbike.com

For £310
it was pretty much the only bike they had in for my price range and requirements.0 -
i have been looking around the local bike shops and one shop specialized in Cuad Butler bikes. He said they are better value for money as your not paying for a big name. Has anyone had any experience with these bikes or know if they are any good?0

Yes, are good value. See if you can try one out.0
