    So they used the Horst link as that was the 'best', and when they couldn't afford the FSR license from Spesh, they moved the pivot, and that was 'just as good'. Now they have the DW liscense - so what excuse next year? lol.

    Well, as I heard it, it wasn't the specialized patent that was the issue (although Dave Turner was one of the guys who came up with the Horst Link), but the fact that Ellsworth patented the Turner suspension design and tried to charge Turner to use it (the US patent system is pretty f***ed up tbh).

    If I had unlimited funds I'd love a Turner, but they are very expensive, and I suspect they aren't enough better than eg a Meta 5.5 or a stumpy to justify the extra cost.
