Hi guys.
I've got a Raleigh record sprint that I use for winter and I'd like to put a bottle cage holder onto the rear downtube (there's 1 already on the front gear lever tube).
Can you tell me how to drill and what to insert to do this properly please?
Thanks.

You can't - it needs the bosses brazing professionally and respraying if you want to keep cosmetically tidy.
You can get bolt on bands thoughCarlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -
O.k. That's a shame, thanks.0

Not quite true - you could get some M5 rivet bushes installed - the correct size hole is drilled in the frame and the bushes are fitted like pop-rivets using a special tool that leaves a threaded insert in the frame. Some bike shops have the kit or try a sheet metal fabricator.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Foe winter use, why not go for a hot drink?
Look at http://www.bikebuddy.co.uk/index.html
Stainless mounts for frames with or without bosses
Thanks for asking - I'd forgotten it myself!0 -
You could try looking at some of those bottle holders that fit onto the saddle or seatpost behind you. I've seen a couple at some sportives and they hold two bottles.0

Just some advice on terminology to possibly help you in future-
Rear downtube = seat tube
Front gear lever tube = the real downtube.
