Hi I'm on a tight budget and im lookin for a bike under 400 preferably under 350, that can take harsh trail riding, hardcore xc and light downhill, overall just general abuse...
If anyone could give me a hand in choosin that would be great

Not many hardcore bikes at this price unfortunately. Have a look at the Sarcen Mantra.
