Teenage South Wales XC Racing

HI. I've been mountain biking for a couple of years now and have decided that I would like to try my hand a at a bit of XC racing in South Wales. My only problem is that having looked through a half dozen websites ranging from FODCA to British Cycling I can't seem to find anything. Is anyone else doing any racing over the winter and if so could you let me no where.
I live in monmouth, near the border and don't mind travelling too much but the closer the better.

I got the same problem, I live in Cardigan, West Wales and findin a race is a bum, especially as im only 15. the Kona Mash up at afan would've been good but thats gone now, i was too young. I too am wondering if theres any races in South Wales. If your up for travellin theres the winter series in Thetford, its one hell of a long way but i think im gonna make the pilgramage
