sticky soled shoes

Have recently gone back to flats on my FSR to help learn new new skills
The V12 mag pedals I`ve got are great but I would like some shoes that stick better to the pedals than my trainers or Taho SPD`s.
I would love some 661 Takis but am reluctant to spend 50 - 65 quid on some shoes that might become redundant if I go back to SPD`s or get ruined by the latest wet weather this summer !
The skate type shoes I`ve seen in most of the local sports shops have hard rubber or plastic soles, anyone any recommendations or can I get some 661`s or 510`s cheap on the net (The only one`s I`ve seen have been in every size but (my too common) 8.

Why not try 661 Filters, i found them pretty good on flats, before I moved to SPD's, bonus is that you can cut the cover out of the sole and hey presto SPD ready shoes, thus no need to lash out on a new pair. There's no such thing as a stupid question, unless you already know the answer!0

I reckon you want tacky soles, not shoes designed for spd's. They slide about too much.
I've heard bad stuff about 661 taki's only lasting 5 minutes, can't comment on that, but my 5-10's are showing no signs of giving up after 2 years of very regular use. They grip as well as you're gonna get. See if you can get a deal somewhere. The Marzocchi Bomber shoes are basically the same as well.0 -
5:10's or send your fave trainers of for re soling with 5:10 rubber."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Can you do that? Sounds cool, unless they charge the same as the shoes...0
