RaceFace NEXT SL cranks?

Im curently building up a new freeride/dh rig around a DMR Ex[alt] frame and it has now come to the time for some cranks.

I am a picky man and i know what will go with my bikes aesthetics aswell as its purpose. I have decided that i want raceface. Im sick of all others, and have a catagoric aversion to all things sram, even subgroups! However, the NEXT cranks are something new to me and i dont know much about them.

They look mint, but ther not goin on the bike if theres any doubt about them possibly snapping the first time i land a bit sketchy, hit a sticky spot on a DH course, or bail. So...

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW STRONG THEY ARE?
Would they be fit for DH/FR?

I haven't used one (though do have NEXT bars) - it is XC stuff really. I wouldn't be wanting to be hitting them hard!

How about the Evolve DH or Atlas?

external bearings? single bolt to preload and hold the ring arm on?

get shimano they work.

Could end up going for atlas or evolve DH. What do u reckon to using them with a hope ceramic BB? Heard mixed reviews for them.

I wouldn't replace any BB until it dies.

Have to agree with Nick though and recommend Shimano - Saint for ultimate strength, or SLX/Hone.

This is for a new bike. My DMR Ex[alt] is currently under construction and doesnt have a BB yet. And so RaceFace evolve DH cranks arent as good as Saint? Cos i was XC until lyk a year ago, and the DMR will be my first proper rig. Up until now, ive jus been mashing cheap truvativ cranks, cos its cheaper thn buying decent ones.
