Clipless Pedals

I've just bought a new bike and it's got clipless pedals on it, and I fancy trying them out as i've never used them before. They are shimano pedals but I dont no whitch ones, and what cleats do I use ![/b]

    You should've got the cleats with the bike. Most probably Shimano SPD's BTW. They screw into the plates on the soles of SPD shoes and will have two screw holes to accomodate.

  • no cleats with these pedals can you use any cleats with any pedals.

    no, but all shimano cleats work with all shimano spds (but road pedals are different but shouldnt need to worry about that)

    shimano road pedals have a different interface the cleats are loads bigger and the pedals look very different.

    Go back to the shop and ask where your cleats are? They cost upwards of a tenner and if you were buying pedals on their own they would come with them. They don't come with the shoes BTW since shoes can fit more than one type of cleat.
