to your bike?

Its covered in muck and everynook and cranny is furnished with rain water. Your short for time and only have 5 minutes to put the bike away.

(Theres also a chance you won't get to give it a proper clean for another week at least)

  • 5 mins is more than enough to spray on some cleaner, wait a min and then hose down. Wipe down the chain and spray on some water repellent.

Or just hose off the muck and wait to give it a good clean when you have more time.

Or just leave it....until you have more time.

Simon thats the sort of routine i'm looking for. With my old bike many a time i've just chucked it in the garage, next ride comes round and the amount of rust is scary

Whats a good technique for the rear cassette? I find if I put GT85 on the next ride all the muck sticks to it

Also do you guys consider a hose "bearing safe" I avoid jet washers like the plague, but for some reason shy away from the hose too

Hose is fine if you stick to a more spraying mode - I generally muc-off, rinse, wipe drivechain as best as poss and GT85 - lube next ride.
