    When looking at home contents cover its worth checking your policy, i checked mine and it only covers any bike up to £1000 no more!

  • That's really really bad, sorry to hear that!

    You can claim off of your house insurance as they were on your property!

    If you have pictures of the bikes then it's even better as it proves you owned them to the insurance company, speeding things up.

    i concur thirdly what lock and chain?

    i insure through my home and they cover me in the shed. costs £15 a month extra.

    Those little buggers will do just about anything - get this;
    I knew a guy who runs a shop in the 'dales. Theives broke into the shop and threw everything into a van - nothing was ever found. After the insurance paid up he kept them in a portacabin behind a locked gate. They came with a freakin Hi-ab, ran down the gate, jacked the cabin onto the truck then took it down a lane, blow torched through the side and scarped with it all in another van. The truck was torched, probably nicked as well. Seriously - set your bike in concrete!! And do try to keep it a secret from your neighbours.
