Right, I've decided to put some slick tyres on my mountain bike for my during the week rides to work, I've sorted of decided on the Schwalbe City Jets, but should I get these, and what size!?
Also, how difficult/any tips for changing the rear tyre, do you actually have to remove the whole wheel from the bike or is it possible to do without removing the tyre and chain etc...!

Thanks for any advice!

Go for specialised fatboys, they are fantastic, so fast and tough.

The only thing i've had go through them is really thin shards of flint, i've cycled 3miles on them flat with no consequences, i cannot recommend them enough.

As for changing tyres, you'll want a decent set of tyre levers, and you need to remove the wheels before doing it.

I've just put some Schwalbe City Jets 1.95 on mine and took it the bike last night and think they are great. 1.95 give plenty of cushion and grip without looking out of place on a MTB. No problems on wet dirt tracks and very fast on the smooth stuff. They do a 1.5 too but you might find this looks odd on a MTB.

All Terrian Cycles at Saltaire do some good prices on these tyres.

Oh, I run 1.25" on mine, looks really cool with chunky MTB rims, rolls much quicker too.
