    depends on what is required.

    a few quid to 100's.

You can do one at a time.

  • im guessing a few quid is for basic shifers, hundreds is quality ones?

well, im new to biking so it would be cheap and functional, any reccomendations? £50?

If it were me i would want matching ones, so I would either get another of what you have or upgrade the pair. £50 will get some decent shifters (Shimano XT, SRAM Rocket).

A pair of functional but good Shimano Deore would be around £25.

CRC do an XT M770 set for £ 45, mine are on the way as I write this. Fitting shouldn't take more than 30 mins.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result
