Annoying cracking noise, please help!

Hello
I just switched to full suss bike after hardtail, got myself a brand new S-Works stumpjumper. I went for a ride for the first time today and when i push the pedals hard, usually when i am climbing a cracking noise coming from the bike. First i thought gear cables hitting the frame but i checked it and it wasnt that. When i go downhill there is no such noise. I asked to my local bike shop they said most of full suss bikes do such noises because of there are many moving parts on the bike and the noise comes from the frame. Does it common? Or do i have a faulty bike?
