Should I get a Reba SL for my Giant XTC 4.5?

I currently have a Giant XTC 4.5 and it's really got me into mountain biking but over the rough stuff it's like a silvercross pram!

I'm thinking of ditching the guff Dart2 fork and going for a RockShox Reba SL, you can get the 2007 version brand new on eBay for £189. Is there a difference between the 2008 and 2007 model?

Will going for the new fork make a big difference or should I hold out and go for an entirely new bike?

There is little difference year to year. But the fork will transform the bike! Fir a start you'll lose nearly 2lbs in weight.

be aware of the steerer lengths on the 2007s on ebay, if its the one I'm thinking of the steerer length is on 180mm, possibly will be too short!

But it is fine fork I love my 2009 SL, far better than the Dart 2 I had on my old Trek 6000
