Axiom shock and tyre pump??

just had this turn up on my desk, its the axiom accelerate DLX gauge.

does anyone have this pump? is it meant to have switchable modes at the bottom, looks like something to turn but it won't budge

every pump i get doesn't come with instructions? why is this?

sorted it now!!

took it down to the builders and one of them managed to undo it, was really tight, guess he has more industrial fingers than me...lol

very good pump though, really well made
